Messages From The Other Side!

Submitted by: Cherokee Billie

Nowadays more and more people want to know what to expect when they die. They also ask me, Where am I going to go when I die? What is it like in spirit? Do we get to see people we loved? Do we get to meet other spirits? Do we have bodies? The list of questions goes on. Death is held as such a mystery that the only time most people embark on the voyage of self realization is when they are faced with the inevitability of their death.

What I would like to do here is share with you what I have learned about the afterlife based on my personal experiences in astral projection into spirit as well as channeling deceased loved ones and what they have to say about their lives in spirit.

I have been studying various religions and spiritual teachings for over 35 years. With all the knowledge that I have gained in that time, I was not sure of what it was really like in the spirit world. What started me to see the spirit world was my father. My father was comatose and being kept alive artificially on machines. This went against my personal beliefs because I knew that his body was worn out and that it was time for him to move on to spirit. I knew he was afraid of dying and out of desperation I did something I had never done before, I put myself into a state of hypnosis and I astral projected myself to him in his hospital bed.

Let me explain a little bit about astral projection which is taken from Wikipedia, Astral projection (or astral travel) is an interpretation of any form of out-of-body experience (OOBE) that assumes the existence of an “astral body” separate from the physical body and capable of traveling outside it. Astral projection or travel denotes the astral body leaving the physical body to travel in the astral plane.

The idea of astral travel is rooted in common worldwide religious accounts of the afterlife in which the consciousness’ or soul’s journey or “ascent” is described in such terms as “an…out-of body experience, wherein the spiritual traveler leaves the physical body and travels in his/her subtle body (or dreambody or astral body) into higher realms.” It is therefore associated with near death experiences and is also frequently reported as spontaneously experienced in association with sleep and dreams, illness, surgical operations, drug experiences, sleep paralysis, hypnosis, and forms of meditation.

I had to do this in silence and completely alone; that is why I was not in the hospital to do this. I took his spirit by the hand and drew it out of his body, and led him into the spirit world. I was surprised at who greeted him at the entrance; it was his army captain from World War Two that he had thought the world of. I waited outside as his captain led him inside of the spirit world. I could hear many people talking and laughing. I did not know what they were saying because it was not important to me all that mattered was that my father was seeing what life was in spirit. After a while the conversation died down and he returned to where I was waiting. From there I took him back into his body. I knew at that point he had no fear of dying, and the next day he did pass away.

In less than twenty hours I woke up with my father screaming into my ear everything that he wanted me to know before he left the physical plane. It did not frighten me at all because I knew he had left without telling me many things. For the next three days he manifested himself where I could see his spirit.

Because of this I never again doubted that the spirit world was far more real then our physical world is. I know the reason I can see spiritual truths is because of my Native American heritage. We understand the spirits and honor them in everything we do. I started working as a clairvoyant, and clients would ask me if I could connect to a deceased loved one. The first time I did this I was not sure if I could, but it was a young man who had been killed in a motorcycle accident; and his mother wanted to talk with him. I was able to give her a description of everything that happened and what he wanted to tell her now. This was one of the most moving moments emotionally in my life. I knew I had helped this woman have a connection with her son, which would lead to her healing.

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZT8G6Qf7Ngo[/youtube]

When I started doing clairvoyant work professionally I was asked to channel a deceased loved one and do it by e-mail. I did not know how I would be able to get answers without connecting to the person, but I took on the job and trusted that the Great Spirit would give me the answers.

It amazes me at the answers I receive, and as I am receiving them, I actually see what the deceased person is talking about. It is a magnificent experience for me. I feel that I get as much out of it as the person I am asking the questions for.

This message that I received is from the spirit of the sister of a dear lady who was having a lot of trouble dealing with her sister s untimely death at a young age from cancer. She wanted to know how her sister felt and what was happening for her now that she was dead. This lady had been told by another psychic that she did not deserve answers from her sister, and it had nearly caused her to have a complete nervous breakdown. I related what I had gotten from her sister and wrote this message to her from what I saw, and then her sister spoke directly to her.

December 30, 2009

Dear Carmen:

There is absolutely no reason that you don t deserve answers from Katie. You both had a very close bond and that does not end just because she has moved into spirit. I am surprised, than again not so surprised, that people would tell you such hurtful things.

I can tell that you have a very sweet sensitive spirit and God loves you.

To start off with I want you to know that people who have passed over are different in spirit. They may not remember or see things the way you do. Remember they are in a different dimension and have left behind the negative emotions that most humans carry. You can go to my web site and read about this in more detail in an article I wrote called, After Life. I just want you to understand because they are different than we are now. Someday we will be in the same liberty that they are.

As I started to connect with Katie I received the strangest message. She says here s your little Kit Kat. I don t know if she ever said this in life, but that s what she feels now. She says she has been coming to you since her passing and has been trying to let you know that she is with you. She says that your grief has stopped her messages coming to you, that you would have normally been receiving such as in dreams, smelling her perfume or noticing curtains moving and electronics acting differently. It was the closeness of your relationship that caused such grief for you. Katie is not disappointed that you felt that way she knew it was going to hit you very hard. Don t blame yourself for taking her death so hard. You loved her very much and that s why it was hard. Grief takes however long it takes to subside. You will never stop thinking about her and you will be reunited in the spirit world.

She wants you to know that she is extremely happy and never has to suffer pain any more. She says it was your experiencing every step of her illness that tore you up.

Here s an answer to your first question. How did you deal with your passing? Here are Katie s answers.

I was ready to let go. Those final breaths were my letting go of my physical body. Believe me the minute I was gone I was watching you and mom and I could see your pain, but I was experiencing total bliss. If I could have said anything to you to at the last moment it would ve been, I love you. You both were the closest people to me and nobody loved me as much as you too. Others cared about me, but it wasn t like what you two did.

Because of your being so sensitive my death really hit your heart hard, you don t need to apologize for it any of your actions or thoughts. You have nothing to be forgiven for. I think the best way for you to be able to handle death is to realize that it s passing from one life to another. We shed off our bodies like a snake gets rid of its old skin. And we are truly born again in the presence of Divine Love.

The more you let go of your grief you will find me coming into your dreams. At night before you go to sleep pray and ask the angels to bring me to you. In the morning have a pen and paper by the bed and write down what ever you get. Keep this as a journal and in time you will start seeing my messages coming through.

At night I walk around your bedroom and I sometimes sit on your bed holding your right hand. If you ever feel a sensation on your right hand whether you re asleep or awake Realize it s me connecting with you.

You re going to start finding the pain easing in your heart. I love you dearly and please tell mom the same thing. Let her see this message because it may bring up some experience is she has had with me and didn t realize it was me.

I look forward to being reunited with you and everyone in the family in spirit.

I love you,

Katie

After I sent Carmen this message, she wrote me back that the nick name I received was absolutely the one that they called her sister. She could not believe everything that I had gotten after the terrible experience she had before with the other psychic. Carmen verified that she knew it was her sister speaking to her because of the way she addressed everything she was feeling. This was an interesting experience because I kept hearing that nick name over and over. This message gave Carmen peace of mind and she has been able to go forward without so much pain in her heart.

When we pass into spirit we do not instantly gain all knowledge and become filled with wisdom. There is a learning curve and we keep learning in spirit. Think of death as birth of your soul.

I have found through my experiences of going into spirit and speaking with the deceased that there is life after death, and what I do in this life affects what happens in the next one, it is the law of Karma. It is comforting to know that life does go on, and that one can always learn, grow, and develop spiritually. The detail about everything in the spirit world does not matter. What does make a difference is the belief that any one of us can make an effort to be of service to others, to love, to develop spiritually, and to work toward oneness with God/The Divine Spirit.

Heavy rains start in central and southern Chile while aftershock takes place

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

Heavy rains have started on Wednesday early morning through the most of central and southern Chile. At least 29 millimeters were reported by ONEMI in the Bío Bío Region in Wednesday morning; thirteen milimeters in Temuco and 8.8 in Chillán. It has been worsen by the low temperatures. The rains have affected thousands of people that lost their homes after the great 8.8 earthquake and subsequent tsunami earlier this year. In Chiguayante, firefighters emptied a camp that was completely inundated by the rains. It is expected that the downfalls will provoke chills and respiratory problems in children and the elderly. The rains have damaged some roads in Pichilemu, Wikinews’ Diego Grez reported.

President Sebastián Piñera has visited some locations affected by the rains, including Chocholgue, San Pedro de La Paz, Constitución, and Maule. People told him and Interior Minister Rodrigo Hinzpeter that the mediaguas, or small houses, given out by the government don’t block out the water and humidity. There are also people that haven’t received tents or mediaguas yet. The government announced that ambulances will constantly patrol the cities.

Meanwhile, an earthquake hit the area, with the epicenter offshore of Maule, 65 kilometers northwest of Cauquenes, at 11:24 am local time (15:24 UTC), with a depth of 30.1 kilometers. The USGS reported the quake measured magnitude 4.9, although the University of Chile Geological Survey reported it as 6.1. There was no tsunami warning.

Simple Steps On How To Start A Daycare

Submitted by: Fritz Andre

The first step to start a profitable day care center is to understand what makes them profitable. There are many daycare centers operating with full enrollments of 35 to 65 children, but are barely breaking even. Generally, this is due to imposed regulations causing big overhead costs. In order to rake in annual profits that fall to “before taxes” bracket of $100,000; you ll need facilities to care for 150 to 200 children.

Running a daycare center right in your home will bring you extra income while at the same time you are taking good care of your own children. By having other children in your home will give your own children playmates and friends while at the same time you are earning money.

To begin these simple steps on how to start a daycare, check with local government rules and regulations. In some states, a minimum area is required per child, both inside and outside the building, and requires provision of at least one hot meal per day, a licensed teacher for every 15 to 20 children, and sometimes, a licensed nurse may be requisite. Design your business plan to meet these regulations.

Having a facility for children can be emotionally rewarding. You can touch the lives of the many children you deal with day in and day out and you are also able to make them feel confident that they are well taken cared of and are not alone even if their parents are not with them physically.

You can start operating a baby-sitting service, by expanding from your profits and expand gradually, through the long-term benefits of establishing a good reputation for quality service. Once beyond the baby-sitting stage, and demand for your service has increased, try locating in your church or in your area’s civic club facilities. Scout for a vacant house to rent or buy. A large home with a large backyard would match your needs at this stage. Have a zoning approval from your city council first before signing a rent lease and finalizing your plans.

To start, you can operate first a small baby-sitting service with 2 to 5 kids. Even if you do have a large amount of capital to start with, it is recommended that you do start small and calculated operations on your day care center first, and then build upon your progressive successes.

If you have a good business plan in order, look for financial backing or sponsorship by a church or institution. A partnership or sponsorship agreement with an established local organization will solve a lot of problems for you, not only in the space but in assistance with start-up costs and approval from the city government.

In planning your own day care facility, you will need careful planning so that you do not find yourself confused and at a loss on the tasks you need to finish. An organized checklist will help you prioritize and finish all that you are required to do.

I just mentioned some of the steps on how to start a daycare towards an expanding business. Good Luck to your new career!

Former Washington D.C. police officer sues district for racial discrimination and harassment

Friday, June 22, 2007

According to court documents obtained by Wikinews, Randy Squires, an African American male and a former police officer of the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia (DCMPD) has filed a lawsuit against the department alleging racial discrimination and harassment by a fellow officer. Squires is also suing the former mayor of D.C., Anthony A. Williams, and the district’s Attorney Generals office. Squires is also suing his superior officer, Robert Atcheson, for racial discrimination and harassment.

“Defendant Atcheson treated Plaintiff differently than similarly situated Caucasian police officers in several respect[sic], including but not limited to assignments, evaluation, and disciplinary actions, deprivation of overtime and use of departmental vehicles,” stated court papers filed by Squires’ attorneys, Donald M. Temple and Dhamian A. Blue of Temple Law Offices in Washington D.C.

Squires accuses Atcheson, a white-caucasian male and a lieutenant in the Environmental Crimes Unit (ECU) Warrant Squad and the Paternity Warrant Squad, of discriminating against him on the basis of the color of his skin and also harassing him while on the job. Squires originally started to work in DCMPD 1988, and shortly after he was hired, he began to work in the ECU. Atcheson was in control of the unit Squires belonged to.

In court documents, Squires alleges Atcheson treated him with “flagrant racial discriminatory conduct,” like using the word “mope,” which is defined as slang for “nigger,” and that the discrimination was “designed to intimidate, insult, emasculate and humiliate” Squires. In one incident in 2002, during a training exercise, Atcheson allegedly “deprived Squires of appropriate breathing apparatus, which is designed to save life in emergency and hazardous situations,” but that the apparatus was “provided to two other caucasian officers.”

Documents also allege that Atcheson had “falsified” a report to North Carolina State Police after Squires was arrested and wrongfully charged with “unauthorized taking of a police vehicle.” Court documents say that the report to N.C. police states that “Atcheson falsely told Plaintiff (Squires) that he had photographic evidence of the police car outside Plaintiff’s home overnight and of Plaintiff driving the car from his home.”

Court documents also allege that Squires allegedly informed his superior officer of Atcheson, only known as ‘Captain Brito,’ of the incident, but no action was ever taken against Atcheson. Squires initially filed a complaint against Atcheson with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, (EEOC) in a letter on March March 8, 2005.

The Washington D.C. police department has investigated the claims made by Squires, which “revealed inappropriate conduct toward Squires,” but according to documents, no disciplinary action has been taken against Atcheson or his superiors.

The defendants “deny any and all allegations” that Squires has made against them and also state that Squires “failed to exhaust their administrative remedies and/or failed to comply with other mandatory filing requirements.” Defendants also say that “all actions taken by District (Washington D.C.) relating to Plaintiffs were necessary, reasonable, pursuant to lawful authority, and based on legitimate, non-discriminatory reasons” and that “the district denies that any district policymaker adopted, approved, condoned and/or maintained an unconstitutional policy, practice or custom of unlawful employment practices.”

Squires is asking at least US$350,000. Squires and the Defendants also request that a jury be present during the trial, which is scheduled to conclude on June 26.

Three Major Attractions In The San Francisco Bay Area

June, 2014 byAlma Abell

In the San Francisco Bay Area, apartments may look out on one or all of the 3 major attractions in the region. These are why some come to visit the city. They are even why some people decide to live there. In the San Francisco Bay Area, the 3 major attractions are:

  1. The Golden Gate Bridge
  2. Fisherman’s Wharf
  3. Alcatraz

The San Francisco Bay Golden Gate Bridge

In the San Francisco Bay Area, it is hard to escape the art deco beauty of the Golden Gate Bridge. There is also no reason why you would want to. As city landmarks go, this bridge has it all. It is elegant, graceful, overpoweringly big, historically significant and, to a large extent, though this depends upon the time of day, practical.

Built in over a 4-year period in the 1930s, the Golden Gate Bridge opened to traffic on May 27-28, 1937. Its successful construction owns much to chief engineer and the man who conceived the idea Joseph Baermann Strauss (1870–1938). He was helped out on the project by Irving Morrow (1884–1952) the architect responsible for the design and Charles Alton Ellis (1876–1949), another experienced significant engineer and all the workers. Today, it remains one of the most recognizable symbols of a city with a museum tucked under the North Tower – the Bay Area Discovery Museum

Fisherman’s Wharf

Sometimes considered as part of Downtown San Francisco, Fisherman’s Wharf is a major destination. The actual Wharf has been home to fishing boats since the Gold Rush. The boats still arrive along with crowds to watch them unload their fresh catch. Yet, the character of the Wharf has changed with the times. Today, visitors enjoy taking part in a variety of regularly scheduled events throughout the year.

You can catch a movie in 7D, dine at one of several restaurants, shop at Pier 39 or wander along the Bay. There are museums and the Aquarium. If you are a resident of one of the many San Francisco Bay Area apartments, you can volunteer to help out with such worthy projects as the The Fishermen’s and Seamen’s Memorial Chapel.

Alcatraz

Probably the most famous prison in North America was Alcatraz. Locate on the island of the same name in the middle of the Bay, it had a reputation for being one of the toughest prisons to break out of and live. This high security prison, closed since 1963, was once home to such infamous men as Al Capone, “Machine Gun” Kelly and Robert Stroud, the Birdman of Alcatraz.

Today, you can join others as they ride boats out to visit the island and tour the facilities. You can learn all about its history and who stayed there between its opening and closing dates – 1934-1963. If you are feeling particularly fearless, you can take part in an evening or night time tour.

If you love the Golden Gate Bridge and enjoy “the Birdman of Alcatraz,” you may want to look for San Francisco Bay Area apartments that offer you the chance to visit on a regular basis these attractions. Spend some time in the city. Ride a Cable Car or sail out on a Ferry. When you live in San Francisco, the transportation options seem endless.

St. Anthony Foundation provides hope

Friday, September 23, 2005

On the corner of Golden Gate Ave. and Jones St. in the Tenderloin, San Francisco, right next to the Civic Center you can see a throng of low-income and homeless people lining up outside of St. Anthony’s Dining Room hall which opens up it’s doors everyday at 11:30 a.m. Volunteers dressed in St. Anthony Foundation shirts help keep the lines moving as hundreds of homeless and low income people shuffle their way towards the dining hall underneath the watchful eyes of a small statue of St. Francis of Assisi.

“There’s a lot of people who go hungry out here and it ain’t right.” says Jimmy Scott, a slightly brawny 44-year-old black man who has been living homeless in San Francisco for the past three years. “There are families out here with kids and everything and they have to walk around all night just to stay awake so they don’t get hurt or killed…Right here in the U.S. this is going on…it ain’t right.”

The dining hall, which has been open for the past 54 years, is owned by the St. Anthony Foundation which helps low income and homeless people and families in the Civic Center, Tenderloin, and SOMA areas with clothing, shelter, food, drug rehabilitation, and many other services. St. Anthony’s administrative offices are found at 121 Golden Gate Ave. with the majority of the foundation’s buildings on Golden Gate Ave. and Jones St.

“We are right in the heart of the homeless population of San Francisco,” says Barry Stenger, 55, who’s been working for the St. Anthony Foundation for one year, and is the Director of Development and Communications, “and people are pushed here because of the economic forces of San Francisco because it’s hard to be upper middle class in San Francisco.”

According to the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, “San Francisco’s cost of living remains one of the highest in the country” with the average household income in San Francisco being around $76,400 and the average price of housing being $543,000. Average household income for the United States in 2002, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, was $42,409 and the average price of housing for the United States according to the National Association of Realtors was $185,200 in 2004.

“We served our 32 millionth meal on Tuesday,” said Stenger, “and we serve 2,500 meals a day. Some of our people who work here actually get served [food] here because they spend all their money towards rent and medical costs.”

The St. Anthony Foundation was started by Fr. Alfred Boeddeker in 1950 one year after Fr. Boeddeker became pastor of St. Boniface church on Golden Gate St. where he was baptized as a child. During his lifetime, according to the foundation’s website, he was referred to as the “Patron St. of the Tenderloin” and had Boeddeker park named after him because of his, and his foundation’s, achievements with helping out the homeless and low income community.

“[St. Anthony’s] is a good thing,” said Jimmy Scott, “they provide a good service and they feed people and they clothe them and provide furniture when you get housing and give you groceries when you have AIDS. It’s a good little organization.”

“Our dining room is open 365 days a year.” Said Stenger. “Our other facilities are open seven days a week. We have a residence for senior women and our [free medical] clinic is open five days a week and we also have a furniture and clothing store. We have 12 programs all together.”

Some of those programs are the Father Alfred Center which provides 61 men two programs for getting out of drug and alcohol abuse, the Employment Program/Learning Center which helps participants in educational and employment opportunities and provides each one with a personal staff advisor, and a Senior Outreach and Support Services center which states its mission is to “promote independence, self determination, and alleviate isolation” for seniors who are 60 and older.

A few homeless people who were interviewed complained that St. Anthony’s had some staff who were rude and that they were kicked out of the dining hall; other homeless within the area refuted those claims saying St. Anthony’s has nice staff and only kicks people out who cause trouble.

“It’s a good place and good people. Everybody is so kind and so respectful and everything is under control.” Said John Henderson, a tall and skinny 57-year-old homeless black man who has only been living in San Francisco for close to two months because he recently moved there from Phoenix, Arizona. “It’s pretty cool because they’re under control because yesterday I saw at Glide [Memorial Church which also has services for the poor and low income] and they were handing out food boxes and people were just rushing in and the woman in charge there was freaking out and so she just sat down. That would never happen at St. Anthony’s.”

“And they clean too!” Henderson said laughing with a grin on his face referring to the fact that there are no drugs allowed in the premises. “Not that Glide ain’t clean if you know what I mean.”

“We [also] have a whole division that deals with justice education and advocacy to change the system that brings people to our doorstep.” Said Stenger. “We hear a lot of appreciation from the people we serve. We get a lot of testimony from our clients who have become clean and sober. Sometimes we have to push them a little to get them out the door because they love the [foundation] so much because it has changed their lives.”
